Anywhere from halifax to Barrington area... Actually anywhere in NS, south shore preferrably... Thank you for your response.

That would be awesome if they were? I would like to find out exactly where they are running in NS. If anyone has information, I would greatly appreciate it. Planning a trip to visit my mother and would like to get mackerel at the same time.

Thank you please do. I am looking to have them frozen right away and bring them back. Do you know of anyone who would sell them like that? I have family to visit and getting mackerel would help pay the trip...

Running along the Eastern shore, more specifically down towards Canso. Seen a couple schools lobster fishing, and the birds seem to be having some luck. Haven't tried to catch any yet, will probably try once the weather clears up

Caught my first mackerel of the year in Canso. 28cm. Lots of fish feeding, but only one actually bit the hook. Stomach was filled with minnows.

40 released in Canso last night, 2 keepers
