Commercial moratorium means that seiners and trap nets aren't sweeping up hundreds of tonnes of undersized fish, meaning there are a lot more undersized fish out there to catch. In terms of overall numbers, this has been the best year for mackerel in a long time for me

Out Saturday with wife caught 2 keepers and 13 releasers
47 pollock release
Out Sunday caught and released 13 mackerel
Caught and release 55 pollock. (18" pollock released)

Which Fishing lures you have been using for mackerel fishing? Can we use crankbaits or jerkbaits for the mackerel?
I am far from the expert but I had some luck with a blue floating stick bait from Dollarama last year.Which Fishing lures you have been using for mackerel fishing? Can we use crankbaits or jerkbaits for the mackerel?
I also did ok with a mackerel rig from Walmart.
