I have recently moved to Canning, in the Annapolis Valley and I am looking for a lake to do some pickerel fishing. I've done some trout and bass fishing so far this year, but I have that itch to watch a big mean predator smash a topwater bait. Any suggestions would be great, I am more interested in catching lots than hunting for a real lunker.

Try out Gaspereau Lake, Lake George, Ayelsford Lake, Lake Paul, Trout Pond, Little River Lake... any of these lakes which are up on the South Mountain and probably a 25 - 30 minute drive from Canning at least if not a little more depending on where in Canning you are located.
