If I only had one fly for trout it would be....

If i only had one fly for salmon it would be....

If I only had one fly for trout it would be a muddler minnow!
If i only had one fly for salmon it would be a undertaker!

If I only had one fly for trout it would be a Picket Pin.

I don't know about salmon, I could only narrow it down by high water and low water.
Low water would be Blue Charm and High water would be Popsicle.

if i had only one trout fly it would be an orange wulff
if had one salmon fly it would be a black bear green butt muddler

Success builds success!! If your fav. fly is a Muddler you will use it more han any other fly and therefore you will catch more fish on a Muddler therefore it is your personal favourite. I have no favoutite fly and I dig thru my flybox continuely looking for some magic! The sad part is I believe it is more about size and presentation and not pattern, but continue to change flies looking for some magic! lol

Interesting topic - lots of good replies
For me I would select a light green tube with a couple of turns black seal fur dubbing - and a size 16 hook.
For salmon its a Willie Gunn tied on a black tube with a size 4 hook. Wish I could get to fish Willie more often!
