Hi All
Yesterday on the Lahave after we brought the canoe in, we found its bottom well sprinkled with small shrimps. I had never seen them before - at least on the bottom of the canoe. After consulting some books and the Internet my guess is they were hyalella shrimp. They are between 2 - 5 mm in length so they are small. Good indicators of water quality by the reports on the www. Likely good salmon smolts and trout snacks also.
Anyone have any info on them?
Paul
