How can I get into Sea Trout

Hey, I have always wanted to start fishing for searun but I havnt got a clue where to go or what to put on the end of my line. I live in the porters lake area. If anyone know any spots or any tips on catching them that would help, Thanks

The Musquodoboit river has always produced for me. I only fly fish though. Not sure if that's what you're planning to do? The best spot I've found is just above Crawford Bridge. The river is very narrow there and when they run it's pretty cool to see the large number of fish that move through. If you're planning to use bait or spinners, I think you need to go 300M above the bridge but check the regulations to confirm. The tricky part is being there at the right time.

Thanks man for the advice, i dont fly fish though i would like to learn, i will check the regulations about the bridge
