I'm heading to charlottetown for a few days next week. I was hoping to do some fishing in the harbours and bridges around the island but have not been able to find any info. I have some berkley gulp peeler crabs and sandworms, lots of jigs and spoons. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks jeff

Wow. I understand that the Islanders don't care too much for us Mainlanders, but this PEI topic is less informative that Duffy's replies to the press about his dubious accounting.

For a place that relies on tourists, you would think they would realize that not everyone golfs, or cares about Anne Shirley. The sea trout fishing could be a booming attraction, except they seem to want it kept a big secret.

I plan on trying my luck, from a canoe, in some of the small bays on the north side this weekend. Probably between New London and Covehead Bays. Any suggestions on which place would be better?

Hi Jeff
A long time since I left there but plan to
go over for a few days next week or so.
Rainbow trout are plentiful now and the limit is 8
per day along with 8 brook trout.
Souris Beach is susposed to be good - we just used to wade
and fish from the shore. West River in Bonshaw also where it
goes into Northumberland Strait.
St Marys Bay but I never fished the North Shore rivers.
Good luck
Paul
