Plenty of fish at the south end of Grand lake by lock #5. If you fish the mouth of the river flowing in on the right side of the cove if you are facing the lake, you should do very well.

There are lots of fish all over Grand Lake. Once you can get to the shore, (public access)There is almost nowhere where you can't catch a fish at some time. Having said that, you will up your probability of angling success if you can wade/walk to a spot where there is current created by a stream or river either entering or leaving the lake. (Virtually all fish species are attracted to current and current breaks as these "food highways" make it easier for them to survive with little effort.)For bass & pickerel, if you can cast to the outside edges of weed beds,or docks, you very well may be rewarded with a strike. I would suggest that you either purchase a topographical map of the area and study it or go to a library and do some research on maps that they have before you set out on any fishing expedition to an area which is unfamiliar to you so you can find the places I mentioned earlier in this post.(Or, even better, go to Google Earth for a very good aerial view of your chosen area.) Regards...
