I am a Masters student at Dalhousie and I am conducting my research on Alewives. I'll be heading out for sampling this Spring. I am already will be sampling in the Shubenacadie, Annapolis, Annis, Gaspereau, Kennetcook, LaHave, Musquodobit, River Herbert and River Phillip. Are there any other rivers that have alewife runs?

Thanks

Do they also run into the rivers and brooks in Pictou and Antigonish counties?
every river ive fished in pictou county conatianed alewifes, usally around the same time in the season after the sea trout run.
The Isaacs Harbour River in Guysborough County contain gasperaux and a lot of them and they come in around the middle of July.

The next question is, when do the seat trout run? You can tell I don't do much trout fishing, LOL. I know, shame on me.
Hey Folks,

I went out to grab a few the other day and they seemed to have moved on. Anyone seen some in the HRM please?

I saw people dipping at that river by my place just the other day, although that's a 45 min drive from you.

I've been checking the rivers where I got gaspereau last year and I'm not seeing any yet. When do they normally run?
