It is almost that time of the year. Once again we are looking for stories, pics and adventures this year on the rivers.

Have fun, be safe, take a kid fishing and enjoy the outdoors.

I will be posting tide times (approx) for Stewiacke and Shubie along with confirmed and unconfirmed fish movements.

not much longer now about 6-7 weeks and they will hopefully be moving about

There will be the odd one in the river now from the bay, I seen a seal in the river two days ago , its not there to drink water ...

Seen lots of sea gulls past week and sea trout are in. Soon Smelts will be in and the other fish will follow

Seen a big 43 inch 33 lbs Striper caught out of Grand Lake.

They should be almost ready to head out of the lake. This cold snap may have slowed them down from entering both ends of the River.

Hopefully the New moon after the 7th should get them moving up the river!!

Smelts have moved in Seen several last night very light movement. With this King tide it should move the fish up. Now in two wks all the fish should be up

Very High tide last night and today, well over the road at the fish shack.

2 wks til full moon and the high flood tides again, from now til then fish should be moving in with each tide.

I dont have any water temps but it would be nice if someone could post temps in Stewiacke and coming out of Grand Lake

Water temperature was 39.5 degrees Fahrenheit in the main part of the lake on Friday.

It's usually the Saturday before the May 10 closure so I would assume it will be Saturday May 7 but haven't heard anything yet for sure.

Unofficially it will be May 6 7 with high tides at 2-3 pm

Well bass have moved out of Grand Lake and with higher water I hope they pass through rather quickly

Shubie river is closed once again..around enfield to above the 102 bridge effective tonight april 19 at midnight

So are the Bass still in the lake? my father is coming down from CB with his boat and we plan on heading out there this weekend. Also an recommendations on where to try and what to use would be great. will be our first attempt at the strippers aside from surf fishing the minas basin.

What section of the shubie is closed right now? I assume it's from somewhere around the bridge in enfield down but exactly how far down?

200m upstream from Hwy 102 bridge to a point 25m downstream from the Hwy 2 bridge in Enfield is closed section until May 10

Well bass r in the river. Water is still kinda cold. That being said Bait seems to works when the bass first move. As the water warms a bit bass should feed and hit lures. Still early. This moon tide is bringing in the fish

I was down Rines Creek this evening and lots of Gaspereaux and seen a few big splashes as bass hit them. River bank was muddy but trying to see where all the action is at

Fishing will pick up after this warm weekend and after this high tide
