Hey guys I was looking to do some trout fishing in the nine mile river with my 12' Sportspal Canoe powered by an electric trolling motor. I have never fished this river and was wondering if #1 This is even possible ? and #2 Where is the best section of river to do so ? Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Which 9 mile river? I think there are a few. I've done the 9 mile from renfrew to elmsdale. There are trout in there this time of year. Some beautiful old growth forests along the way and a fun trip. You might be able to use the motor for some spots but the majority of it is rocky and shallow. It will be passable most of the year but if the water is high enough that your not dragging bottom it will probably be running fast and fun.

Don't know if its the best river for the sportspal. A little shallow and rocky for a thin aluminium canoe.

The upper end by Renfrew is deep, slow, and easy to do.
