Sounds like fun. Who does one contact?? What are the entry fees? What time does it end? Who is running it?? Is there somewhere where all the info is posted?

Regards........

a tournament of more than (i think it is) 25 people must be registered by the dept. of fisheries. they do this to keep fishing pressure down on any given body of water.this way they can make it so there is not a tournament on a lake within 2 weeks of one anouther.

i'm not trying to make you mad at me, i'm just informing you that there is politics in fishing.unfortuanete, but they do exist.

permits are easy to get by applying. it is set back a bit this year due to a maternity leave of absence. but they are caught up now from what i hear.now this is bass tournaments that i am familiar with.

what i just noticed is that you are doing a trout derby........i'd be even more cautious about it. these rules have come into effect to improve, and protect the trout fishery the best we can.i'm hoping you are planning a catch/photo/release tournament.but it is up to you.

good luck with it. i know i've caught trout there as well. nice lake, and all participants should have fun!

If it's a live weigh-in, then the organizer really needs a permit, as keeping live fish in a boat (or on shore) is now illegal unless you have a tournament permit.
