another year with a prediction for a wet spring. Could be s flood year
for us who know how to wade out and fish the vast Nixtua lake.I had a look at pictures from 2016 May all you could see was water all around and all of us taking turns with fish on. Good memories

Well all the colors are on the darts. The Cherry bombs are all finished waiting on the clear coats. Been tying on the tails over the last couple of days. Been sharing some photos with a friend Ted from Middleton. He said my darts the spects look like shad flies. I run them on my tandum rigs. Small sized darts work well on the shad.

Lets hope that too, the powers that be indicated it would only be postponed the first month. No other prov. has done this so why would NS. 60,000 p^%$ off anglers might be a bad thing come election time next year too. Ps was into the Walton Woods road at the Iron bridge. The back water was boiling (trout) there is a hatch of small black nats even here at home.

@S. Jollymore. I was so hoping you were going to be right that sport fishing would start on May 1st but that doesn't seem likely following the report on CBC news today from Dr. Strang. I was getting excited to head to Middleton for the shad as that's one of my favorite trips for the year but it looks like I'll have to wait until next season for that. This could be the first year in decades where I might not get the chance to get out fishing BUT I'll stay optimistic for some fall trout fishing.

If they do this lets not vote liberal in the next election. there is 60,000 fellow fishers out there. They want to shut down our lives and keep us for months in house arrest. "Time and Tide wait for no human" . Lost chances and memories can not be recovered, Fellow Canadians are allowed to fish in the rest of Canada . Dr Strang No faith in him, home for 1,5 months and nothing has changed. Also I bet he doesn't fish or hunt either. I usually go down for a 5 day trip every year for the last 28 years. plus every weekend for May and the first 2 in June. Not this year, week days only. Just checked the Shad Cam schools of Shad moving Thru. PS sent a memo to my MLA earlier in the week told him if we miss this month we lost out in most of the Sea trout, Brown trout and Shad fisheries and the above quote

@S. Jollymore. Yay! Fishing season has started. Perhaps the emails and letters all of us wrote to our councilors and MLAs has made the difference. Need to head out right now to buy my licence. Very happy Have a great season S. Jollymore...tight lines!
