Out last evening up in the middle of Halifax harbour for about 45 minutes and caught a mix of keepers and tinkers. Sometimes three and four at a time. All of them were quite fat. Kept about 10.

Same, got like a dozen keepers.

Overall, Mackerel numbers is less this year compared to previous years but surprisingly there is a good number of really big ones.

Caught a couple dozen mackerel (mostly keepers) in Deep Cove this past Sunday from a small boat. Switched over to squid rigs and caught over a hundred squid in no time. Squid were good size and they were PLENTIFUL!!!!
