My wife might be moving to Tatamagouche for work next year, and I'm wondering what the fishing is like in Tatamagouche and the nearby area? We have just come back from a quick trip to Tatamagouche, and it's a beautiful area!
From what I have read here and there, there is some pretty good Trout fishing in the rivers, some Salmon? I imagine there are several saltwater species to harass as well.
I do fly fish for trout, and I have a 7 or 8wt fly rod (originally for Saltwater, but I think it will do for salmon). I also love saltwater fishing, but I'm not sure what to expect near shore. Some beautiful beaches, so maybe some flounder and skate?
Is there any fishing for Cod, Pollock etc from shore? Any Stripers?
I'll be back again in October, what could I be expecting that time of year?
