Hello fellow Anglers:

I have recently returned to the HRM after an almost 20yr southern tour.
I lived in Cayman then Florida where I fell in love with fishing again.
I now find myself going crazy to wet a line daily...
I used to fish with my father as a kid here and really need to get reaquainted with N.S. fishing.
I am game for anything..
Please send any suggestions...

Welcome Back Fishin Fool !!!!

Are you asking about fishing this time of year or spring/summer/fall?

There is an unbelievable amount of information on this site about pretty much any kind of fishing you might like to do, all it takes is a little reading.

BTW, I am off to Jamaica at the end of the month, do you have any advice on beach fishing in the Caribbean?

Cheers,

James

Jamaica is pretty popular with Bone fish and Tarpon as far as fishing w/ a rod and reel for game fish. Both can be taken on either fly or spinning gear. Stealth is the key as they are the most fun taken in the shallows.
Other than that, you'll also have a blast w/just a hand line (yoyo) fishing in a little deeper water for misc.reef fish.(Parrot , Angel and Grunts)No reef fish will turn it's nose at a morcel of squid and believe it or not orange spray cheese.

And rebember....Never ever stop fishing..FISH ON!!!!
P.S. Yeah mon Jamaica
