"I have a true passion for the smallmouth. I love to learning about them and solving the riddle for the day to catch them. They never cease to amaze me with the power they have and the acrobatic leaps. I enjoy fishing competitively in tournaments while at the same time having loads of fun with a family member or a friend. Fun is definitely the first priority on my list!"

"I've been fishing since I could walk. I started fly fishing and tying my own flies at the early age of 10. I've been tying professionally now for well over 10 years and continue to actively pursue trout and salmon on the fly. I am associated with several fish and Wildlife associations within Nova Scotia, and I'm proud to be a fourth generation member of the lesser known, exclusive, Eastern Angling Club. I'm looking very forward to sharing fly tying tips and personal experiences with the readers of NovaScotiaFishing.com"

Location:

Originally from St. John’s, Nfld., Keith has worked in the pet industry for many of his younger years. This early career choice was a reflection of his love for nature. He cared for and lived with a large variety of animals, reptiles (small to very large), birds, aquariums and terrariums. His interest has spurred his self-taught education in this field; his approach is holistic and his dedication to nature is pure. For many years, Keith was a volunteer for the Salmonier Nature Park, Department of Fisheries and Oceans maintaining and setting up trout and salmon nature displays. Keith discovered, at a very early age, his love of fishing. In more recent years, Keith has instilled this same love to his three young children. At present, Keith fishes as much as possible as well as maintaining his interest in eco-systems with Aquatic Art Landscaping. Keith’s love for nature has also been demonstrated through his work with a local Wildlife Habitat Advocacy group as well as becoming involved in River Watch where he has become a trainer.

"I've been hunting and fishing for over 20 years. I enjoy catching any fish that swims but large trout and bass are diffenitly the best! Growing up in the valley with close access to rivers, lakes and streams has given me a wide varitiy of exciting moments with many species of fish. I believe in catch and release about 95% of the time, but being a chef by trade it's hard to pass on a good feed of brookies a couple times a year.

"My favorite species is The Smallmouth Bass. I am addicted to fishing for them, reading about them and tinkering with lures to catch them. I began Tournament Bass Fishing in 1988 and have grown up with the sport ever since. Perhaps my greatest accomplishment to date was claiming the 2001 Team of The Year Championship with my brother Rob Feener for Nova Bassmasters. The world of outdoor sports has given me so much , now it is time for me to give something back!" Randy also serves as Tournament Director for Nova Bassmasters.
