CASA congratulates David Doggett , a long time member and Director,
on being one of the recipients of this years Federal Government
"Recreational Fisheries Awards"  President Brian Naugle commented ,when extending congratulations to David, "what a wonderful asset he's given the angling community in Nova Scotia with novascotiafishing.com".
David is the second CASA member to be so recognized . The late Michael
Robinson also received this award in 1997.  

Michael Robinson , a founding member of CASA, passed away on December 23rd, 2005. His contribution to the organization is immeasurable. Michael was on the Executive, as the Director dealing with Government Liason, since the Association's formation. Every piece of regulatory or management change in the bass fishery , requested by CASA, was initiated or driven by Michael. All bass anglers in the Province have benefited from his work. Even at his passing he was working away at his latest quest which was to see a fishing league established in this Province to encourage more youth to participate in angling.

He will be greatly missed by the membership and his friends at Inland
Fisheries with whom he enjoyed a wonderful relationship.
