March 2008 marks the 19th anniversary of the founding of the Canadian Association of Smallmouth Anglers.CASA always welcomes new members - we are particularly pleased when that membership includes the whole family. With five ½ day club tournaments, members get ample opportunity to fish and to discuss the future of the bass fishery in the province.

Effects of Draw downs - Black River Lake, Lake Micmac, and Panuke Lake; Presentations on Landfill sites in Halifax and Kings County Five-year study on effects of tournament angling Installation of major boat launches at Grand and Aylesford lakes Effects of sewage treatment operation at Aero-Tech Park Presentation on the proposed closing of Morris Lake boat launch Presentations on the competitive fishing policy Province-wide analysis on lakes with suitable SMB habitat Study containing 17 major recommendations on SMB management in Nova Scotia and a host of other studies, reports and recommendations. On-going efforts to have lead removed from our fishing environment
